Loafing Rocks
Loafing Rocks sits on a ledge with crashing waves at her feet at high tide. The porch, facing to the south and west provides the opportunity to sit in the sun and enjoy life while looking out at the boats and birds going by.
The interior has that summer cottage feel. There is a covered porch to help keep things dry before you enter. As you approach the door you can look straight through the dining room out to the ocean. The first floor is all pine paneled with yellow pine floors and scatter rugs. Upon entering there is a small hall with a coat rack and a full bath to the right with kitchen and dining room straight ahead. The dining room has a door to the porch looking out to the setting sun in the west. The southern room is the living room which has a long window seat and chairs plus a field stone fireplace with a woodstove insert and yet another door to the porch.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with spectacular views and a short hallway. Each bedroom has a double bed and one has a window seat large enough for a twin mattress. Off the hall there is a bath with a shower stall.
The “bunk house” is between the house and parking area. It has a wrap-around porch and a futon sofa/bed with a single bunk above it. This single room structure is also pine paneled and is a fun reading or game room.
This house may be rented with up to six people and has two baths.
